The Maashaven Harbour Basin During Nightfall · 6 December 2011, 21:03 CET by Charles Vermeulen
The Maashaven harbour basin during nightfall (Rotterdam, the Netherlands).
Photograph of riverboats moored in the Maashaven harbour basin. The Maashaven harbour basin is part of the Rotterdam docklands (‘Stadshavens’). On the horizon from the left to the right: the Latenstein flower factory on the so-called ‘Pols van Katendrecht’ (‘Katendrecht Wrist’) and the New Orleans, the cranes on the ‘De Rotterdam’ building site and the Toren op Zuid, all on the Wilhelminapier. Behind the buildings on the Wilhelminapier: the Erasmusbrug (‘Erasmus Bridge’). In the front, left: one of the two grain elevators on the outside of the former Maassilo granary.
