Former grain warehouse ‘Maassilo’ and the Maashaven harbour basin during blue hour.
Former grain warehouse ‘Maassilo’ is located in the Rotterdam neighbourhood of Charlois, between the Brielselaan, Maashaven Zuidzijde, Maashaven Oostzijde and the old Maashaven harbour basin (visible in the front). The silo building, designed in 1910 by architect J.P. Stok and extended in 1931 by architectural office ‘Brinkman & Van der Vlugt’, currently houses the so-called ‘Creative Factory’ and ‘Maassilo Evenementenlocatie’.

The Graansilo currently houses the so-called ‘Creative Factory’ and ‘Maassilo Evenementenlocatie’ and was originally exploited by the so-called ‘Graan Elevator Maatschappij’ (‘Grain Elevator Society’) (GEM). The Maassilo is located between the Brielselaan, the Maashaven Oostzijde and the Maashaven harbour basin.
