Fenixloods II is one of the two so-called Fenixloodsen (‘Fenix Sheds’), which were in use by C. Steinweg Handelsveem B.V. until recently. The Fenixloodsen (‘Fenix Sheds’) are the remnants of the San Francisco shed of the Holland Amerika Lijn (‘Holland America Line’). After World War II the HAL ceded the sheds when it left the Katendrecht peninsula for the Wilhelminapier.
