Carnisselande-Barendrecht and the Skyline of Rotterdam (Barendrecht, the Netherlands).
In the front of this photograph: the Gaatkensplas (‘Gaatkens Lake’) retention basin. Behind it: housing blocks in the new Barendrecht residential area ‘Carnisselande’ and the Portlandse Baan boulevard. The small tower on the right of the Portlandse Baan is a residential tower designed by Roelf Steenhuis Architecten called the Avenue Plaza. On the horizon: the Rotterdam skyline. Barendrecht is a suburb south of Rotterdam.
